Technical Features of DeposSpain® Steel Water Tanks
-
Constructed of corrugated sheet with ProMag coating, renowned for its exceptional corrosion resistance, surpassing standard galvanized steel by up to 10 times and galvanized steel Z-600 (600g/m2) by almost 5 times.
-
High-quality 8.8 bichromated bolts are used.
-
The thickness of the sheets varies depending on the water tank model, ranging from 1 mm to 4 mm.
-
All diameters are available with one, two, three or four wall rings of height. Each wall ring is 1.14 m. high (for different heights, please contact our sales department).
-
Diameters range from 3.82m to 45m. For other dimensions, please contact our sales department..
-
The joints are sealed with white mastic (preformed butyl sealant) with a diameter of 6 mm, resistant to temperatures ranging from -30º C to 120º C.
Accessories and Customization Options for Water Tanks
Roof.
We have designed flat roofs with a slight slope for all tank models, ensuring efficient water drainage and minimizing the risk of sediment accumulation. This innovation not only enhances the functionality of our tanks but also extends their lifespan by preventing corrosion and deterioration issues.
Option for conical silo-type roof.
Waterproofing.
Choose our PVC waterproofing lining option for maximum waterproofing and protection of stored water. This membrane acts as a robust barrier against water penetration, ensuring that the stored liquid remains safe and clean at all times
Green Pre-lacquered.
We offer green pre-lacquered water tanks available, often required for water tanks located in protected natural areas, to comply with the regulations on environmental impact that are in force in some areas.
Nonwoven Geotextiles.
For irregular surfaces requiring greater resistance, consider our special bottom materials like Nonwoven Geotextile GEODITEX.
Access Ladder.
Optionally the tank can be equipped with an internal ladder, including safety rings to conform with regulations.

Frequently asked questions about steel water tanks
Can steel water tanks store drinking water without contaminating it?
Yes, metal water tanks are ideal for storing drinking water. They are designed with materials such as galvanized steel, which, along with PVC lining waterproofing systems, ensure water quality without the risk of contamination.
What maintenance do tanks require?
Maintenance of metal tanks is relatively straightforward. Periodic inspections are recommended to detect and correct possible corrosion issues, ensure the waterproofing is intact, and verify the good condition of all accessories. Additionally, it is important to keep the internal and external surfaces of the tank clean to prevent sediment and algae buildup.
Is it complicated to install a steel water tank?
No, installing a metal water tank is not complicated. These tanks are designed for efficient, often modular installation, allowing them to be quickly assembled on-site without the need for heavy machinery. However, the ground must be properly prepared, and in some cases, it may be advisable to seek assistance from professionals to ensure proper installation.
How do I choose the right capacity for my metal water tank?
Choosing the right capacity depends on the intended use of the tank and the volume of water you need to store. For domestic use, a small or medium tank may be sufficient, while for agricultural, industrial, or irrigation applications, larger capacities will be required. It is essential to assess your current and future needs to determine the optimal capacity, considering also the available space for tank installation.
Can I install a tank if the surface is irregular?
Yes, it is possible. In situations where the surface is irregular and greater sheet resistance is required, we offer a solution by installing a special material for the bottom, such as Non-Woven Geotextile Geoditex. This material is designed to adapt to various terrains, providing a solid and durable base for the tank.
