Bolted metal buildings for livestock and agricultural use
Modular system: start small, expand without limits
Bolted. Durable.
Bolted metal buildings
Why choose our buildings
Silos Spain bolted metal buildings are industrial steel structures manufactured in S450 steel with ProMag coating, designed for livestock, agricultural and industrial projects that require reliability, fast assembly and room to grow. The modular system allows installation from the first section and expansion in depth whenever the project demands it — without construction work and without dismantling the existing structure. Five standard widths — from 6 to 14 metres — with 3-metre-deep modules cover most requirements. For projects with specific dimensions, the Silos Spain engineering team designs custom solutions.
Bolted S450 steel
S450 steel sheet with ProMag coating, assembled with 8.8 grade bolts and no on-site welding. The bolted structure resists corrosion and can be dismantled, relocated or expanded at any time.
Fast, tool-free assembly
The modular system requires no on-site welding and no complex foundations. Any building can be assembled section by section from the first module and expanded in depth by adding 3-metre modules as the project grows.
Tailor-made solutions
The five standard widths — from 6 to 14 metres — cover most livestock, agricultural and industrial projects. For specific dimensions, the Silos Spain engineering team designs the right solution.
Available models
Five standard widths with 3-metre-deep modules. Expand by adding sections according to the space you need.
| Model | Width | Height | Area per module | Depth per module |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| M-14 | 14 m | 2.50 m (min.) — 4 m (max.) | 42 m² | 3 m |
| M-12 | 12 m | 2.50 m | 36 m² | 3 m |
| M-10 | 10 m | 2.50 m | 30 m² | 3 m |
| M-8 | 8 m | 2.50 m | 24 m² | 3 m |
| M-6 | 6 m | 2.50 m | 18 m² | 3 m |
How the modular system works
Start with the first module and expand the building by adding extension modules at any time, without dismantling the existing structure.
Starter module
Complete self-supporting structure with four supports. It includes all the elements needed to work independently from day one.
Extension module
Each additional module attaches to the existing structure, sharing the supports of the previous section. Only two new supports are required. Expand 3 metres at a time without construction work.
Final result
Real appearance of a building with several assembled modules. The structure grows in depth without major construction work and can be expanded at any time.
Common uses
Cattle housing
Sheep and goat shelter
Agricultural machinery shelter
Feed and forage storage
General agricultural storage
Industrial and logistics warehouse
Workshop or working building
Winery or agricultural produce store
Frequently asked questions about bolted metal buildings
The structure
Yes. The Silos Spain modular system allows new modules to be added in depth to an already-installed building without affecting the existing structure. Each module is 3 metres deep, making it possible to plan growth in phases according to project needs.
Buildings are manufactured in five standard widths: 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 metres. Depth is configured in 3-metre modules. For projects with specific dimensions, the Silos Spain engineering team works out custom solutions.
Assembly time depends on the size of the building and site conditions. As a prefabricated bolted structure, on-site assembly is fast and requires no welding. For a specific estimate, contact the Silos Spain technical team.
Silos Spain bolted metal buildings are designed for livestock, agricultural and industrial use. Common applications include livestock farms, machinery storage, agricultural shelters, workshops and industrial warehouses.
Bolted assembly allows the structure to be dismantled, relocated or expanded without construction work. It requires no on-site welding, which reduces installation time and simplifies maintenance. It is particularly well suited to projects that may grow or need to be relocated.
Cladding and panelling
Silos Spain bolted metal buildings are compatible with the most common cladding options on the market: metal sandwich panel, simple galvanised sheet, EPS (expanded polystyrene), polycarbonate and translucent fibreglass. It is also possible to combine materials — for example, a concrete block or brick plinth at the base with sheet or sandwich panel on the upper section. The structure is designed with standard fixing points that make installation straightforward with any of these options.
Cladding costs depend on the material chosen, the total surface area and, above all, the distance to the supplier. Panels are large-format elements and transport can represent a significant part of the final budget. For this reason, it is advisable to source cladding from a local supplier. As a rough guide, simple sheet is the most economical option, followed by EPS, while sandwich panel has a higher upfront cost but reduces heating and cooling expenses over time.
Simple galvanised sheet is the most economical solution and suits warehouses, shelters or buildings with no temperature requirements. Sandwich panel incorporates an insulating core (usually rock wool or polyurethane) that regulates the interior temperature, reduces condensation and improves animal welfare in livestock facilities. If the building will house livestock, perishable products or people working long shifts, sandwich panel or EPS are the recommended options. For a machinery store or open shelter, simple sheet is sufficient.
For livestock use, the most widely used options are metal sandwich panel and EPS, because both provide thermal insulation, reduce condensation and contribute to animal welfare. In warm climates such as southern Spain, insulation also protects against summer heat, which has a direct impact on productivity. The choice between the two depends on budget and the availability of suppliers in the area, since transporting large-format panels is a significant cost factor.
