This 8.60 m wide agricultural tunnel, with a length of 20 modules, has been designed for the storage and protection of straw bales.
With a modular length of 1.14 m per module, the structure reaches approximately 22.80 m in length and provides a large covered storage area. Based on the bale dimensions considered for this project, it can accommodate approximately 306 straw bales.
Storage capacity adapted to the stacking system
The actual storage capacity does not depend solely on the dimensions of the agricultural tunnel. It is also important to consider how the bales will be stacked and what machinery will be used to handle them.
The reach and operating height of the equipment may limit the use of the total available height and, therefore, the final number of bales that can be stored. For this reason, the storage layout should be planned according to both the available space and the day-to-day operation of the farm.
