We have begun the assembly of a new corn storage plant in Mexico, marking a step forward in our commitment to provide highly efficient and safe storage solutions for the agricultural sector. This facility will feature advanced silos and systems specifically designed for corn storage, equipped with sweepers, ventilation, and a temperature control system that ensures optimal preservation conditions.

The 12-meter diameter silos will be equipped with central and lateral hoppers that enable a smooth discharge of up to 250 tons per hour, facilitating quick grain turnover and minimizing the time required for each unloading operation.

Ventilation and temperature monitoring play a key role in this plant, allowing the precise temperature control to keep the corn in ideal conditions. We will install ventilation grates for even air distribution, along with a centrifugal fan that provides a constant and controlled airflow. Additionally, the temperature control system will enable thorough monitoring and efficient temperature management inside the silos.

The project also includes a sweeper, optimizing the unloading process by reducing residual grain and thus improving the plant’s overall efficiency and profitability.

A standout feature of this plant is the use of our innovative ProMag coating in the manufacturing of the silos and all their components. At Silos Spain, we rely on this coating—composed of an aluminum, magnesium, and zinc alloy—to offer our clients unmatched durability. ProMag’s corrosion protection is 10 times stronger than galvanized steel and 5 times more effective than Z-600 galvanized steel, as per ISO 9223 standards. This not only translates to a longer lifespan for the plant but also to better preservation of stored corn and lower maintenance costs over time.

Beyond its excellent anti-corrosion properties, ProMag is also environmentally friendly, as it reduces zinc usage compared to other coatings. This eco-efficient approach aligns with our vision to create solutions that are not only profitable and safe but also contribute to the sustainability of the sector.
